LANDOWNERS BENEFIT FROM SOLAR
In the direction of solar development for land or farm, the first and most challenging step is acquiring usable, workable acreage for its location. Galaxy 2 Consulting will be happy to make this determination for you. Many variables go into deciding whether a parcel of land is appropriate for solar development: is there sufficient intensity of the sun's resources, how much space is available to accommodate arrays (or panel placement), is there a nearby transmission line with a workable proximity to a substation. We then look at soil types, zoning regulations, and environmental considerations, such as wetlands or endangered species status, topographical issues And all factors that determine the development of a Solar facility.
Acquisition of suitable land for a Solar Facility
Once a site has met the required criteria and has been approved as a potential location for solar development, we then work with the landowners on Ground lease or land purchase agreement. We make the process easy by taking care of all permitting, entitlement, and grid interconnection efforts. We even work closely with local community representatives, always being sure to communicate the many benefits of locating a quiet and safe solar tenant in their Community [JD1] [JD2] You can feel comfortable in knowing that Galaxy 2 Consulting has extensive experience in working with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors for renewable power projects.
If all upfront considerations are still a go, the planning stage now begins. Planning out the solar development involves a great deal of detail work, from site surveys, creating environmental impact reports, researching property title, Civil engineering, zoning applications, conducting environmental studies, and executing a utility grid interconnection with the utilities. Galaxy 2 Consulting handles all of these System Impact Study details and the ensuing the project stays on course.
Site Construction
After the completion of the planning stage, all permits are in place (This is typically the work of a licensed EPC contractors). civil, structural and electrical plans for the project, have received approval from the appropriate authority, The much anticipated constructing of the solar farm begins.
After construction, the EPC crew will test all electrical components and acquire approval to begin use. Then the site is powered and further performance testing conducted. The last step before completion of the solar farm is much like that with a new house: a final punch list is satisfied, and the construction crew pulls out so that the landscaping crew can pull in and make the property visually appealing and attractive by reseeding and planting throughout the site We will then put the project's continuing oversight into the hands of our Network Operations Center who will conduct periodic visits to the farm to monitor and track its productivity, and make sure everything is operating smoothly and efficiently.
Decommissioning of the Solar Facility
We typically will continue to operate a viable solar farm development for several decades[JD3] (typically, the life of a solar panel is forty years plus). At the end of that time, we will start the process of decommissioning the Solar facility from the property. If a new Solar contact can be negotiated with the appropriate utility to extend the solar facility site by replacing the solar panels with updated Solar panels, inverters, and other needed components for another forty years.
If a Solar contract cannot be negotiated with the utility the decommissioning of the Solar facility will move forward. The solar tenant shall completely remove all of the Tenants property and vacate the premises. The removal of Tenant’s Property shall be completed in a manner that does not unreasonably and adversely affect the suitability of the Premises to be used for the same purposes existing as of the construction Date. Then your land is returned to you just as before, perhaps even healthier!
We're always looking for landowners who are interested in learning ways that their property can create a nice investment opportunity for them, while serving to improve our environment at the same time.
